A School Strike for Climate is being held on Friday 3 March, assembling at 3pm in Cathedral Square. This is organised by School Strike for Climate Āotearoa which is a rangatahi (young people) led organisation.

We support our students engaging with this important global issue. The organisers have gone to effort to time the strike in order to not disrupt schools. As school finishes at 2.40pm on Friday, students have enough time to be at Cathedral Square for assembling at 3pm and should attend the full school day.  

As this is outside school hours, parents should be aware that the school is not responsible for any Health and Safety issues relating to the strike.

The organisers of the climate strike also welcome any adults who wish to support the event.
