Mindfulness is an amazing tool to help deal with stresses.

Our senior students are busy with their final internal assessments, but the lead up to the school examinations in weeks 8 and 9 of this term and the external examinations in November are in the front of their minds too. This is causing a little bit of stress and anxiety and we are noticing this has become quite widespread. Therefore it is timely to remind our students and whānau that mindfulness is an amazing tool to help deal with these stresses.

We practice mindfulness in ako time and often use the website/app called Smiling Mind. It is free, requires a simple sign in, doesn't spam you with lots of emails and provides very easy to access mindfulness sessions that take 3-8 minutes. You can choose the age group you fit in and the type of session you would like to complete.
