Camps
An opportunity to live the school values and develop personal strengths.
In Year 9, students spend a night and 1 day on camp. These camps are held early in the first term and allow students to get to know their Ako class. The goal of these camps is to enhance students’ ability to communicate effectively, work co-operatively and encourage them to take responsibility for themselves and others. The camps allow students to build strong relationships in this immersive environment.
In Year 10, students go on camp for 3 days on a more extensive camp based in the Craigieburn mountains. The camps are an important part of our junior programme providing opportunities for students to live our school values and extend their personal growth in support of our Junior Growth Profile. Opportunities for leadership and personal development are core to this programme.
