Are you passionate about animals? Would you like to learn about different sorts of animals and how they evolved to suit their environments? 

 This Science based course will cover a wide range of topics from microscope work to stream sampling, investigating animal senses, exploring our local environment and habitat, investigating introduced species and how they impact our unique plants and animals in Aotearoa / New Zealand. 

The learning will blend a range of practical, hands-on activities with field studies and laboratory based sessions.

Local field trips could include Pūtaringamotu / Riccarton Bush; Lincoln University and Boulder Bay. We will visit the Zoo School at Orana Park towards the end of the semester.
