On Friday 2nd July, senior French students were treated to a private viewing of a movie featured in this year's French Film Festival.
We chose the film "Aline" at the Lumière cinema. The movie is an unofficial biography of the life of Céline Dion and was thus set in Canada where she grew up. The Canadian French was an interesting element for the students and linked well with the recent NCEA workshop day which also featured Canada as its main theme.
We are very fortunate to have this wonderful window into French culture each year in Christchurch, with such a wide variety of films on offer.
