Australian Mathematics Competition

A small number of Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students from Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition this year, and they all achieved impressive results.

The following students gained Credit awards, which placed them in the top 55% of competitors:

  • Year 9 Mai Nguyen
  • Year 9 Harriet Rouch
  • Year 9 Lily Rumball
  • Year 10 Jaime Moffitt
  • Year 11 Annabel Diprose

Gaining a Distinction award, these students have placed in the top 20% (25% for Senior):

  • Year 10 Medha Baadkar
  • Year 12 Riko Yoshida

The Australian Mathematics Competition is a challenging test of mathematical skills, and these students should be proud of their accomplishments. Their hard work and skills have paid off, and they are an inspiration to their peers.

The school congratulates all of the students who participated in the competition and wishes them continued success in their studies.
