On Sunday 28th August, our enthusiastic team of six wonderful actors participated in the Senior Theatresports competition organised by The Court Theatre. As always, the team performed exceptionally and were wonderful ambassadors for our kura.

In the blind round, the team were given the challenge of creating a shared story and increased the complexity by choosing to have each player contribute to the story in an entirely different genre. The western-documentary-romance-dystopian epic, entitled ‘The Big Dog’, proved a hit with both the audience and judges, scoring the highest points in the round!

The team then went on to create two impressive scenes, one involving blind-dubbing of a teacher-student clash and the other a Shakespearean inspired drama involving very pretty shoes and teeth extraction. Unfortunately, the team missed out on a place in the final by one point, with Christ’s College coming first in the heat.

It was truly wonderful to see such passion, energy, and confidence on stage and, most importantly, to hear just how much fun they had in the process.
