During tournament week the Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora 2nd XI Hockey team travelled down to Ashburton to compete in the 2023 Chris Arthur Cup.

They had an outstanding first few games, enabling them to come out top of their pool! This was a great achievement and the team definitely stepped up to the challenge after a tough school competition during the season.

Unfortunately, the team ended up losing their semifinal and final meaning they placed fourth overall.

A big congrats to all the girls who all played amazingly and definitely finished the 2023 season on a high!

Thanks to Gracie Ansell (past pupil) who stepped in as coach for the team at a very late stage; also to Fi Martin who managed the team throughout the season.
