Year 10 Drama develops performance experience and opportunities. Ākonga continue to develop their ability to work co-operatively with others, develop time management and self-management skills and to think critically. This course is suitable for ākonga for both experienced performers and ākonga who have not done the subject before. It develops your confidence in front of an audience, public speaking skills, ability to work independently and also prepares ākonga for Y11 Drama. Fundamental skills used in NCEA such as devising and script writing will be introduced through performance projects including:

• Script work 
• Melodrama (theatre form)
• Class Production
• Stage make up and prosthetics 
• Soap Opera
