The Junior Chirnside Competition asks students in years 9 and 10 to illustrate a passage of a Shakespeare text that was studied in their English class that year.

At the end of 2020 students worked hard creating a static image that symbolically represented a quote from a Shakespearean text. Every year the competition is outstanding and 2020 was no different, making the judges’ jobs extremely difficult. After careful consideration, the Year 9 prize was awarded to Amy Lu for her captivating illustration of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (below). The Year 10 prize was awarded to Rata Shaw for an emblematic portrayal of Twelfth Night (above).
