UC Free Seminar For Parents Of Teens
Parents and caregivers of secondary school students (Years 9-13) are invited to a free ‘Parents as Career Educators’ seminar in August.
The seminar will provide parents with tips and advice to guide their teenagers through the various career and study options available to them in the modern world. This free seminar will cover: The world of work: looking forward; How to make informed career decisions now and in the future; How parents can assist; Career development resource.
Presented by a career consultant from the University of Canterbury | Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha (UC), the seminar will assist parents to help their teens consider ALL their options, such as work, university, polytechnic, an apprenticeship, private providers or other possibilities. (This event is NOT about study options at UC.)
The seminar will be held from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the John Britten Building, University of Canterbury, 69 Creyke Road, Christchurch. There are three dates to choose from: 8th August, 15th August or 22nd August. Register here.
UC Science Summer Camp
This is a 5-day event for Yr 12 students interested in studying science at university. The camp will be based in Christchurch at UC’s Ilam campus, 1st-5th December. Find out more here.

UC WiE CAN 2020 Women In Engineering Residential Programme

Massey University – Aviation Open Day
The school of Aviation at Massey University - Massey University Flight Operations Centre, Airport Dr, Palmerston North, will hold its open day on Saturday 14th September 9am – 3.30pm, giving prospective students and their families the opportunity to view facilities, take part in a trial flight (must be pre-booked), view aviation presentations and talk to current students. NZ College of Chiropractic
- Please note that the Bachelor of Chiropractic is a four-year professional degree. There is a pre-requisite year of specific health science courses which must be completed before entering the College. Their recommended prerequisite programme is the Diploma in Applied Science (Pre-Chiropractic Pathway) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
