On the 16th and 17th of March the Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Senior Super Touch team took part in the South Island Secondary Schools’ Touch tournament at Sheldon Park, Belfast.

We had some amazing results over the weekend beating some tough teams. Unfortunately we lost our quarter finals 3-2 to Burnside which meant we placed 5th overall. An outstanding effort put in by all the girls over the weekend.

A huge thank you to our coaches Rachel and Ross and our manager Heather, for being alongside us the whole tournament. Also a huge thank you to all the teachers and staff that allowed this fun weekend to run smoothly.

Looking forward to the rest of the year ahead continuing on improving and aiming to achieve our team goal of reaching Nationals.
