Options - students can choose from either of these options:

BIO301 - a 19 credit course that includes 3 internal assessments and 2 external assessments

BIO302 - a 14 credit course that includes 3 internal assessments and 1 external assessment

Please note: both courses include the Wainui field trip.

Content: Human Biology and Homeostasis, Marine Biology, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Human Evolution, Animal and Plant responses to the environment, Evolution of NZ Plants and animals

Field Trips: Wainui:  Week Term 2.  A marine biology investigation.

Those students wishing to enter for the Biology Scholarship Examination will be given additional training, most Friday lunchtime.
