The enthusiastic and hard working members of the Garden Club have been very active over the winter.

Under the expert guidance of Mr Dave Schimanski, the girls have built 2 trial worm towers and installed them in the school vegetable garden. They have also built a wooden frame around a second worm farm made out of an old bath and busied themselves with winter cleanup jobs such as weeding and spreading bark on the paths. The girls have also converted a raised bed into a 'no-dig' garden and used cardboard to suppress the weeds. Spring harvests of spinach, silver-beet, kale, coriander and parsley have begun and the broad bean plants are looking healthy and strong. Enormous thanks goes to Mr Dave Schimanski for his knowledge and the help and support he has given the girls.
