2019 has been another busy year for the Christchurch Girls’ and Boys’ High School Combined String Orchestra.

We are comprised of string players of all abilities and practice weekly on a Tuesday morning with our conductor Mr Langdon. During the year the String Orchestra has performed at CGHS music concerts, at St Mary’s Catholic Church and the 2019 Secondary Schools Orchestra Festival. Our repertoire includes 'Hyperdrive' by Ralph Ford, 'Surge' by Bruce Tippette, 'Fire in the Forge' by Ted Allen and Vivaldi's 'Concerto Grosso in D minor'. A huge thank you from all members to our conductor Mr. Langdon for the tremendous amount of work he has put into the String Orchestra.
