Prefects / School Leaders
Prefects / School Leaders are Year 13 students elected by both students and staff to hold key leadership positions. They can be identified by their badge, the white braid on their blazers, and their distinctive tie.
In addition to their general leadership duties, Prefects are expected to:
Role Model respect, responsibility, and care for all members of the school community at all times.
Monitor Wellbeing by observing the school community.
Assist with Administrative Tasks such as managing notices, reminders, and organising events.
Organise Activities and initiatives that promote school spirit and strengthen connections amongst the kura.
Encourage Participation by motivating students to engage in school events and uphold school values.
Prefects have important responsibilities including managing the start of assemblies, supervising the standard of uniform, and actively contributing to the cultural and sporting life of the school.
Students are expected to follow the direction of Prefects, who carry the special responsibility of upholding the school’s reputation through their leadership and conduct.
Together, these leadership roles help build a strong, supportive, and engaged school community.
