9 Kauri has been making connections and engaging empathetically with residents at Avon Life Rest Home.

9 Kauri created personalised posters, which reflected the life, interests, and advice of the residents they interviewed at Avon Lifecare Rest Home. Students worked in groups of four to design the poster. This experience enabled them to consider each resident personally and work to create a meaningful personalised poster. The posters combined to make a paper quilt for the whole Rest Home and each resident involved was given their own copy for their room and a letter.

The residents were thrilled with the effort the students put in and the manager said, "The residents were overwhelmed by how the students had captured each resident interested."
