The CGHS Mountain Bike Team has had a great last week, with girls competing in both the Canterbury Schools’ Mountain Bike Champs and the South Island Secondary Schools’ Mountain Bike Champs.

At the Canterbury Schools' Mountain Bike Champs we had girls competing in the U15 category and the U16 category with 

• Loren Edwards achieved 2nd place in the U15’s  
• Claudia Rowse achieved 2nd place in the U16’s

The mountain biking team also had a successful time at the South Island Secondary Schools’ Mountain Bike Champs with Loren Edwards competing in all three disciplines (enduro, downhill and cross country) she got:  

• 2nd in the enduro 
• 3rd in the downhill 
• 3rd in the cross country 
• 2nd under 15 girl overall!

Claudia Rowse and Elise Walker both competed in the U16's cross country. The girls had a great day biking and enjoyed the Mt Hutt bike park where the event was held.
