CGHS 2nd XI at the Chris Arthur Cup, Stratford
This year, winter tournament week saw the CGHS 2nd XI hockey team flying to the small town of Stratford, just outside of New Plymouth.
After winning the Christchurch Division, we had high hopes for the Chris Arthur Cup, however after two unfortunate losses to Napier and Westlake Girls, we weren't able to make it into the top eight. Despite this, the girls picked themselves up and delivered three convincing wins in a row to come away with ninth place. Overall, we won four of our six games, and our week was full of fun, laughter and some quality hockey, all of which was made possible by the parents, CGHS community and of course our amazing coach Biddy Tothill and manager Vanessa Irvine.
