The Jehts (Cleo Cavell, Mya Cawood, Reuben Anderson and Scarlett Robson) were awarded first place in the region!

After the Canterbury Regional Heats for Rockquest, 22 bands made it through to the regional finals. Each band was then given the task of writing a new original song, which they then had to send as a video submission.

The  Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Jehts were awarded first place in the region, and their guitarist Reuben Anderson who goes to Christchurch Boys' High School received a musicianship award. 

The next step is waiting to see if they make it through to the next round, which will be the semi-finals and include the top 30 bands from around the country.
