‘Foster student engagement through personalized learning’ Lara, Anika, Annabel and Medha recently participated in the Shark Tank competition centred around the use of cloud- based technology.

We attended a two day think tank where we experienced cloud-based technology (at a local gym), listened to inspirational speakers, ate food and spent time in our group developing our own cloud-based learning initiative.  After hours of brainstorming, researching and discussion we eventually came up with our own idea of an educational student-centred learning environment targeted at disengaged students. We then pitched our cloud Tech idea to St Thomas’s along with teams from schools all over Canterbury. We were really pleased to win an internship to Banquer (https://banqer.co/nz/), along with Avonside Girls'. We really enjoyed this opportunity, and we learned a lot about cloud-based Technology.
