At the start of the ski season, both the ski and snowboard teams entered the Canterbury school sport competition, held at Mt Hutt ski field.

As we travelled up the hill in the van we were all full of excitement and nerves to hit the slopes. Our ski team (Mia Bushell, Zara Coberger Tait, Rebecca Griffin and Scarlett Griffin ) placed 9th overall. With Zara placing 4th, Mia placing 11th, Rebecca placing 26th and Scarlett placing 34th. The snowboard team ( Paige Campbell, Holly Lodge Whitham and Freya Lodge Whitham ) placed 1st overall. With Paige placing 4th, Holly placing 5th and Freya placing 6th. Unfortunately due to bad timing of the South Island Championships being in the middle of school exams the majority of us were not able to make it to the South Island competition in Wanaka so we had to call the trip off. Hopefully next year we can make the trip happen, Fingers crossed!!
