Upcoming Triennial BoT Elections

CGHS Publication —

NZSTA would like to encourage parent and whanau participation on school boards in order to help shape and support the education of their children. They will support anyone interested in becoming a trustee, by way of workshops and also by providing access to an online Learning Management System.

Korari is a programme (workshop) that provides governance training to help understand the role of school boards of trustees. Workshops will be held in March/April this year. The Korari Programme is for anyone interested in finding out about standing for the school board elections and having a say in the education of their children.

The online Learning Management System covers school governance and student achievement as well as other information.

If you are interested, please complete the attached form and return it to korari@nzsta.org.nz

Further information is available in the attachment ‘Community member guide to the role of the board of trustees’. This explains a lot of commonly asked questions and information about becoming a trustee.
