We have been full steam ahead with the garden renovation for 2023.

Thanks to all the people who have been taking time out of their days to help out, it’s been extremely helpful and I’m really appreciative of all the mahi done.

In Term 1 we ripped the planter boxes apart due to rotting wood so that we can redo them. Sold the old greenhouse! We also cleaned out old worm baths, salvaged old seed trays for future plantings and tidied the area up. We started some new seedlings for winter veges. We also started to dig out the old posts and convolvulus infected dirt in the garden too. Our compost bin is also producing high quality compost from food scraps from different areas around the school.

I want to give a massive shout out to Mitre10 Papanui for their gracious donation to help us purchase the wood and posts for the new planter boxes.
