National Secondary School’s Kapa Haka Competition.
Eight of our students have dedicated four months to intensive training in preparation for the national kapa haka competitions, which will take place in Nelson next week.
They will compete against forty-two of the best kapa haka groups from all over Aotearoa. Our students are members of a combined schools group alongside students from Te Aratai, Haeata, Christchurch Boys' and Cashmere High School.
On Wednesday evening, they held a dress rehearsal for their whānau and friends, showcasing the results of their hard work for the first time. Their dress rehearsal was stunning and we look forward to seeing them on that national stage.
Their performance is scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, at 6:40 p.m., and will be live-streamed on Whakaata Māori.
