Get 2 Go Challenge
On Friday the 15th September, a team of eight Year 10 students competed in the Get 2 Go Challenge at the Groynes and Lake Rua.
The team consisted of Avalon Suttill, Awanshikha Gosai, Avaya Cooke, Haylee Geange, Paige Hickey, Kaitlyn Mercer, Neve Hickey and Tayla Carpenter.
This day was a great experience as not only did the team work well together but placed twelfth overall and third in the girls category. Some of the activities that the girls had to face were mountain biking, paddle boarding, orienteering, canoeing and problem solving.
A highlight was the problem solving where all eight students in the team worked together brilliantly to get the marble down the chute multiple times to be able to solve the cryptic grid of letters and numbers. They were also extremely strong, working together in pairs in the SUP challenge, particularly in the challenging and windy conditions.
Katahi ra koe team! You are awesome!
