Pasifika Whanau —

Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Pasifika is part of the Tu'u Malohi (Stand Strong) programme for 2022. Culture, Language, Identity, Racism, Pathways and Wellbeing is all part of this Kaupapa.

We are also collaborating with Christchurch Boys' High School Staff, families and students.
Our Pasifika student leads are (Year 13s - Sarah Smith, Hope Gardner-Anderson and Year 12 - Teanu (Angela) Reupena). During the recent holidays, we had a two day session. Our Tumuaki and our BOT Chair were present to meet with our parents.

Below is a video from those two days

Tu'u Malohi Student Voice. Daisy Speaks: BRAVE

Further sessions are held after school, on the weekend and a couple delivered in school time.

Coming up: We have a guest lecturer coming into kura for a staff PLD session and we also have a parent/staff session in the mix too. Lots of cool things are happening for our Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Pasifika students and community. Our kaupapa will be completed by the next set of the holidays where students, staff and parents present together.
