On Thursday night the Christchurch Girls’ High School Pops Choir performed at the annual Voices Festival at Papa Hou at the YMCA. Founded in 2012, this festival has increased in size and popularity with Christchurch schools until this year where it was held over 4 nights.

There were eight schools involved on Thursday night. Our girls performed superbly, gaining an award for Outstanding Use of Gospel Music.

The evening concluded appropriately with a massed item of the classic Queen song ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’, which everyone sang with great enthusiasm.

A fitting end to what was a great night of music making.
