Are you interested in becoming a teacher?
The Ministry of Education is promoting teaching as a career and wants to help interested people in local communities to find the right Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programme.
We understand that people who want to stay within their community, need to study around work, have whānau or other commitments. You can find a programme that can accommodate your circumstances while studying to become a teacher.
The ITE programme-finder tool makes it easy to find an initial teacher education programme that suits your circumstances, as you can filter programmes by criteria, such as:
Location
Sector
Mode of delivery
Length of study
Full-time/part-time
Language medium.
If you have any questions, contact the provider directly through the ‘coordinator’ listed on the programme-finder tool.
