Entry requirements: For students who have taken Y10 Drama or are new to the subject:

1. Evidence of the required level of self-management (verified by your current teacher)

Students will need black trousers/track pants and a long sleeved black T-shirt for performance work.

Content/Skills: In the year you will perform three times, plus sit an external paper. Performances are: Melodrama (scripted comedy), Devising (student created) and a major production . There will be opportunities for workshops and external visits.

Field Trips: These may include performances at The Court Theatre, Hagley Theatre Company and other school productions.

Course Costs: Theatre ticket costs and other workshop costs when applicable.

Assessment:

3 Internal Achievement Standards worth 14 Credits

1 External Achievement Standard worth 4 Credits
