9BYS has proudly presented our Charities Prefects with the funds they raised from making and selling masks for the CGHS 2020 Year 9 Charity - Starship Children's Hospital.

They cut, sewed and packaged 45 masks from donated materials. Time was used in ako, lunchtimes and after school to complete the task. Each student was asked to on-sell the mask for $5 or keep it for a friend or family member. We only have three left in stock.

This commitment and generosity means we can appreciate what it feels like to be part of something bigger than ourselves and reflect the Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora values of both manaakitanga (respect for others) and whanaungatanga (sense of belonging). From a collective effort we can make a difference.
