Waipara Adventure Centre

Walking through the halls and corridors of Christchurch Girls’ High is very frightening, well for a freshman year nine that is. Especially when trying to find your class before the bell ring fearing you would get detention. Well if that wasn’t frightening already, trying to make new friends is much harder than I thought. Can my day get any harder? Well yes it can, but from the help of year nine camp I was on the go! It may have only been a two day camp, but it surely made a big difference. I no longer wore my shell that has been keeping me away from embarrassing myself, I had many conversations with girls I didn’t think I was too cool to talk to and better yet, I made new friends! From now on I am very grateful to have attended the camp, without it I wouldn’t have met such amazing people. Year nine camp was a blast and I enjoyed every single moment.
