At the end of Term 2, our Ki-o-rahi teams participated in the first ever ‘girls’ division at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Ki-o-rahi tournament.

The girls played with a lot of heart but were not able to match the experience of the other teams. They were relegated to the Plate section, where they placed 2nd and 3rd.

It was a wonderful day and a great opportunity to see how seriously some of the other schools take this emerging sport. We look forward to using the experience to help improve the skills of our players in anticipation of next year’s tournament.
