Good Luck at Nationals
Zoe Trolove is competing in the New Zealand Schools National Mountain Bike Championships which are being held in Blenheim 4 – 7 October.
Zoe will compete in Downhill, Cross Country and Enduro Under 20 events over the four ays. This is the last school event for Zoe; she has represented our school over her five years at Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora. Go well Zoe!
Our Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Senior A Basketball team leave on Sunday 24 September for Palmerston North. The team are competing in the Secondary Schools National AA Championships along with 23 other girls' schools from throughout the country.
In our teams initial pool are Westlake Girls’, St Peter’s School, Rangiora Girls’ and Fielding Highand Rotorua Girls’. This will be an exciting week of basketball for the team, along with coaches Sam Ward and Courtney Godinet, and manager Sam Ward. Have a great tournament team and we look forward to following your progress over the week.
In the last week of the holidays, the Christchurch Girls’ High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora Senior A Netball team is off to Auckland to compete in the NZ Secondary Schools Netball Champs, Tuesday 3 - Friday 6 October.
The Champs are being held at the Trusts Arena in Henderson and include six teams from the Upper North Island, five teams from the Lower North Island and five teams from the South Island. In our team’s initial pool are St Mary’s College, Hamilton Girls’ and Queen Margaret College. The team have been training hard and are looking forward to playing teams from across the country.
It will be an exciting week – good luck to the team, along with coaches Nic Mackle and Millie Hassell!
