My name is Mrs Payne, and I'm excited to welcome all of you, the 2024 Year 9 ākonga and your whānau, to our Christchurch Girls' High School, Te Kura o Hine Waiora, community!

You are starting a new and exciting chapter of your life, and you’ve come to a fantastic school for it! There are lots of opportunities to be a part of here at Christchurch Girls’ High School - academic, cultural, sporting and social. If you make the most of everything on offer, you will learn lots of new skills, make new friends and have lots of fun along the way. The potential for you to grow will come from the opportunities you choose to be a part of, so make sure you get out there and get involved.

My role as Dean is to support you as a Year 9 student in all aspects of school life. I will stay as your Dean throughout your time at this kura, from year nine through to year thirteen.
