This is the Christchurch Girls' High School group in Myanmar, together with their guides.

They've just completed a 21km trek through the Burmese countryside, enjoying the sights, the food and the markets as well as learning a little of the language and the fascinating culture. The group of 10 with two staff members has been stopping in tiny rural communities and hill top monasteries. They'll be putting the money raised by the school to good effect as they repair bathrooms and toilets in a small community school outside Yangon later in their travels.
