Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora students, Sophia Smith and Micahlei Timo were selected to attend the 2023 Youth Poetry Summit in Auckland last term.

Action Education kindly sponsored their airfares to Auckland for the day - the poetry summit consisted of:

• 2 poetry showcases
• Poetry Masterclasses with world renowned artist Melodowns, Olivia Hall and NZ Poetry Slam Champions
• The opportunity to participate in an open mic at the end of the day

Both students represented Christchurch Girls' High School / Te Kura o Hine Waiora with their involvement, student voice and service to the event. It's great to see our students represented in these key events.
