Staff illness surge

Genevieve Leech —

In 2024 we never thought we would have to deal with COVID causing large numbers of staff illness, but this week that has been the case.

Our school can not operate without our staff, so today we were forced to ask our Year 13 students to work from home as we were unable to staff a large number of classes.

While we hope this was a one off, it is not something we can predict and we ask for your understanding if we find ourselves in a similar position next week where we need to roster a year level home a day, while we get over this surge in cases.

If your young person's year level is asked to work from home, there will still be an option for them to come to the school library for supervised study and work will be provided on google classroom for these students as well as those who are working from home.

As in the past, please keep your young person at home if they are unwell or symptomatic.
