Culinary Studies - Level 3

Qualification: NCEA Level 3, Achievement Standards, Hospitality Industry Unit Standards, Barista Certificate.

Entry requirements:  As this is a STAR funded course, international fee-paying students and exchange students are required to pay all costs related to this course.

Content/Skills: The topics covered will include New Zealand eating patterns, ethical dilemmas, food advertising, advanced barista skills and coffee origins, culinary products and nutrition. Credits count towards NCEA level 3. 

Students will be able to design a personalised learning programme in which they can select approximately 14 NCEA credits from a range of level 3 achievement standards and/or level 3 unit standards.

Course Costs: Please be aware that this course has a 'take home' component. By selecting this course you are agreeing to meet full costs for ingredients that are required. These costs are $210.00 which covers the cost of all ingredients for practical lessons.

Students can select a maximum of 18 credits from the following standards:
