Announcing the winners of the “Little can be Huge” competition
This competition was all about encouraging people to do small things that can make a difference to the sustainability of our school and community. There were many good entries, but the winners were;
Junior student - Francesca Bryant-Brown Yr 10- Made her own bees wax wraps to reduce the amount of glad wrap her family used
Senior student- Aria Carrol Yr 11-Helped to introduce a trial of compostable rubbish bags and bin liners at school.
Class- Mrs Leech’s Year 11 Geography class- upcycled old glass bottles into flower vases (see photo)
Staff- Learning Support Department-Collect soft plastics from staff and students then take them to New World for recycling.
Other highly commended projects included an upcycled bird feeder, a “Switch it off” campaign
