Rock Quest: Canterbury Heats - Saturday the 14th of May

The best talent of Rock and Pop come together to produce an amazing array of different styles and musical talent.

This year, Christchurch Girls’ High School had two groups entered, Heidi D’Arcy-Slade and Anna Clinch as a duo in the Solo, Duo section and our Year 11 band ‘The Clueless (Olivia Eady, Maddie Iro, Scarlett Robson and Billie Roberts in the band section.

Both groups performed to a very high standard in a competition of extremely high standards. Heidi and Anna came an amazing first in their section and are now preparing a video that they need to send to see if they make it to the National Final. A superb achievement. Judges commented particularly on their blend and harmonies and the quality of their words. Although they didn’t get through to the next round, ‘The Clueless’ produced an exciting and tight performance that impressed those listening, and now promises much for the future. A very successful time for Christchurch Girls’ High School. You should all feel very proud of your efforts.
