2020 Quadrangular Tournament

Grace Ansell and Petra Jack, Sports Prefects —

CGHS brings home the trophy for the tenth year running and the nineteenth time in twenty years.

On Monday the 3rd of August, our CGHS Senior A Basketball team, Senior A Netball team and 1st XI Hockey team travelled down to Timaru for the annual quadrangular tournament with Waitaki Girls’ High School, Avonside Girls’ High School and Timaru Girls’ High School.

This tournament has been going since 1980 so it is very traditional for our school to attend. It was a really nice opportunity to travel as a big group again down to this tournament after the long break sports teams have had due to the unfortunate COVID-19 quarantine. There was some great competition and our girls had a very successful tournament bringing home the overall tournament trophy for another year.
