During Term 3, Police will be increasing their presence around high schools throughout Canterbury, focusing on negative driving behaviour of both students and other members of the public

They will be concentrating on the following road user and driving issues such as:

• Mobile phone use and other causes of distraction
• Breaches of Restricted and Learner driver licence conditions
• Unsafe speeds around the vicinity of schools
• Failure to wear seatbelts and incorrect sealtbelt use
• Failure to wear cycle helmets

This is an important reminder for us all to be aware of safe road use and driving behaviour at all times.
