Over the past several weeks, the 12ENW English writers' groups have had visits from some well known locally-based writers.

Late last term, Daisy Lavea-Timo ran slam poetry workshops with our 12ENW classes and some of the students from our whānau classes, and shared her wealth of experience writing in this very popular genre.

Last week, Soraya Nicholas (who also writes under the pen-name of Soraya M Lane) came to visit the 12ENW writing students to share her story of her journey as a writer. 

Soraya is the Amazon Charts and #1 Kindle bestselling author of Wives of War and The Spitfire Girls. She writes historical women's fiction for Amazon Publishing, as well as the popular Starlight Stables series for an Australian publisher. So far, she has written over 50 novels, and is planning many more to come!
