Epro8 Challenge

Munashe Webeck | Anika Bayley —

On Thursday 20th of June, Christchurch Girls' High School | Te Kura o Hine Waiora sent two teams to the Epro8 Challenge (inter-school science and engineering competition) finals.

We are proud to say one team (Team Members: Anika Bayley, Medha Baadkar, Zhianna Yu, and Olivia Lin) qualified third, on the podium, at the semifinals and 6th at the finals.

The other team (Team Members: Munashe Webeck, Annabel Diprose, Lara Murdoch, and Lucy Gallagher) qualified 5th at the semifinals, and 10th at the finals. A high standard has been set, and we plan to attain our high expectations next year. We had the great experience of touring Holmes Engineering, a prestigious engineering company, and competing at the finals in their facilities.

All of us were immensely grateful for this wonderful opportunity, and to continue this exciting journey. We would like to show our appreciation to the people who gave us the opportunity to compete in Epro8, such as the Epro8 challenge team, and Holmes Engineering.

A special thank you to the amazing Mrs Phoon, for organising our school’s participation.
