Athletics Success
Over the past few weeks, our athletics athletes have been very busy. During week 9, 34 ākonga competed at the Canterbury Secondary Schools Championships over two days.
Despite adverse weather, we had many amazing results. We would like to give a special congratulations to Eseta Qalivutu who broke the U14 Girls’ Shot Put record and Holly Donohoe who, along with a student from Kaiapoi High School, broke the U15 Girls' 200m record.
To follow on, last weekend, 16 athletes travelled to Timaru, where the weather was stunning, to compete in the South Island Secondary Schools Championships. Once again, we had many outstanding results, including Eseta Qalivutu breaking the event record for U14 Girls’ Shot Put, which is an incredible achievement.
