A huge congratulations to Aimee Free 9PEC who represented Christchurch Girls' High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora at the National Schools Triathlon Championships in Mt Maunganui last week.

Aimee was a fantastic representative of Christchurch Girls' High School/ Te Kura o Hine Waiora, displaying our value of rangatiratanga, showing courage and perseverance when she had a very challenging 300m swim leg in the sea. 

Aimee came out of the water in the last ¼ of the field but then her real strength in cycling saw her move up to 5th in the field over the 8km cycle leg. Aimee maintained that position for the 2.5km run to finish 5th overall and just outside the medals.
