International Women’s Day Poster Competition

Our Head Librarians, Annabel Diprose and Lara Murdoch along with other library

committee members organized a library quiz and a poster competition on strong women around the world last week. The winners of the library quiz were Crystal Hartley (1st place), Avalon Suttill (2nd place) and Githu Jayathunga (3rd place).

Unity Week

To observe unity week on 15 March 2025, the librarians put up a display that

represents love and empathy. Our fabulous librarians have made information boards to share positive vibes around the library.

Cultural Roadshow

Our amazing librarian team participated in the cultural roadshow this year. Library Committee members spend Friday lunchtimes introducing our goals and activities in the library. Ka Pai Team.

Christchurch Girls' High School | Te Kura o Hine Waiora Readers’ Cup 2025

The library hosted a very competitive and fun event last Friday. This year the participants were Adelyn Dockter, Lucia Carter, Aimee Telford, Isabella Wallace, Emily Hornby, Lani Erickson, Bea Simpson-Bannister, Sophia Griffin-Burn, Ellie Peck, Elsie Knowles and Qichen Li.

The Christchurch Girls' High School | Te Kura o Hine Waiora Readers' Cup 2022-23 teams (Matisse Foster, Medha Baadkar, Ayana Cooke, Hattie Rouch) were mentoring and organising the competition.

The selection committee will decide the Christchurch Girls' High School | Te Kura o Hine Waiora Readers Cup team for 2025, with the team announced next week. Kia kaha, Kia māia, Kia manawanui!
