This year I have had the pleasure of leading Sheppard House and all the wonderful girls in it.

With the integration of house assemblies into the Ako programme, I have been able to create a stronger connection with the girls in my house and helped them feel closer to me, creating an incredible tight-knit group of girls. These girls led Sheppard House to victory this year at Lip Sync with our Harry Potter theme, which I would like to thank the amazing Ms. Peawini for organising and putting so many hours in to make sure it all ran smoothly. It has been awesome getting to know all the girls in my house and encouraging them to get involved in the school community and exhibit house spirit, which my house committee this year helped me to achieve. 

An example of this would be Athletics Day this year, where almost every girl was getting up and giving the activities a go, and got involved in the house chants we performed. Overall, this has been another great year for Sheppard and I would like to thank every single girl in the house for giving the house events a go and encouraging the people around them to get involved, without your support and enthusiasm Sheppard wouldn’t have been the same.
