St Margaret's College hosted this year's summer sports awards which celebrate the success of the top teams and athletes in Canterbury over the range of summer sports.

Attending this year from CGHS was our 1st Xl Cricket Team that won the Regional NZCT Tournament and will be contesting the National Tournament in December. Our gold medal senior athletes - Jaidyn Busch - shot put; Courtney Hillyer walk; Sophie White, Lucy Kokich, Rosie Trotter and Sophie Williamson - 4 x 400m relay, were also acknowledged. Hannah Bates unfortunately was unable to attend to celebrate her swimming successes.

All these girls were presented with Champions badges. The presentations to our school did not stop there. As well, CGHS won the Top Girls' School trophy for both athletics and swimming; Hannah Bates also won the Most Outstanding Female Swimmer award.
